What’s New in 1.4.2?

  • Checkout Address Management: Registered customers without saved addresses can now easily add one during checkout.
  • Password UX Enhancements: Added caps lock detection and password visibility toggle to reduce login frustration.
  • Supplier Management (Core Support): Foundational support for managing product suppliers at the core level.
    • No visible admin interface yet.
    • Prepares the system for efficient product imports and dropshipping workflows.
  • Multi-Store Embed Enhancements: Product, category, brand, and collection embed buttons now fully support multi-store configurations.
  • Product Options: Custom HTML Attributes: You can now add custom HTML attributes to product options.
    • Enables JavaScript-powered interactions (e.g., dynamic UI changes).
    • Supports third-party integrations and tracking tools.
    • Facilitates custom themes and logic extensions.
  • Improved Checkout Flow: Automatically selects the most suitable shipping method, streamlining the checkout process.

Full PHP 8.4 Compatibility

AbanteCart 1.4.2 is fully compatible with PHP 8.4, meaning:

  • Deprecated functions have been replaced.
  • Error handling and type logic follow latest PHP standards.
  • Session handling and serialization have been optimized.
  • You can safely upgrade to PHP 8.4 for improved speed, security, and performance.
