Status: MUST be "ON" for product to appear in your store.

Featured Product: MUST be "ON" for product to appear as featured in your store.

Product Name: The product name as it will appear in the front-end.

Description: Enter a brief description of the product. It will display in the main section of the product page.

note: This uses the HTMLEditor so you can add HTML, images and FLASH content.

Also you can fill/edit the following fields:

Meta Tag Keywords: is supposed to be a brief and concise list of the most important themes of your product's page. Meta Tag Keywords are used by search engines to describe the content of your web site.

Meta Tag Description: a brief and concise summary of your product's page's content.

note: Meta Tag Keywords and Meta Tag Description will show in the tag of the product's HTML source.

Product Tags: tags that this product has been given by administrator users

Categories: Category or categories where product will be displayed on storefront. Selecting a checkbox will associate this product to that category, and you can select as few or as many associated categories.

Stores: select store where product will be displayed. If you're managing multiple Stores, you can select the stores to which this product is associated by checking the checkbox next to the Stores from which you want the product to be available.

Manufacturer: If you have specified manufacturer or brand names in CATALOG -> Manufacturers, select manufacturer or brand name you want to display here.

Model: A unique model number of the product.

Price: Enter the price without tax. The price of your item as it will display in the front-end. If you have a special, this will be the original price.

Cost: The wholesale cost used for profit reporting. This field is for internal purposes and does not require a value.

Tax Class: If you are required to charge tax on this item, set to "Taxable Goods." By default AbanteCart comes with one option for this drop-down: Taxable Goods. The Tax Class for all new products will automatically be set to ---None---. You can learn more about setting up the Tax Classes and Tax Rates that apply to the Taxable Goods Tax Class, as well as creating new Tax Classes in System->Localization->Tax Classes chapter.

Track Stock: Set YES if need to track stock quantity for this product. If options are used check subtract setting for each option value (they have own track stock setting). Enabled main product to track stock and subtract the quantity after order is placed by customers. This is very important setting read more about Stock processing configurations.

Quantity: Quantity available for the product. Used id stock trackable is set ON. If you have any stock trackable  options, do not use this quantity and set it to 0 or be aware of the conflict.

Minimum Quantity: This value requires the customer to purchase a minimum amount of each product in an order. Forcing this quantity to be added in the cart automatically.

Out Of Stock Status: Message shown if stock in product or options will drop to 0 or below. This message is always show if our of stock condition is met for stock trackable products or options.
If you do not want to see this message set product and all options to be stock trackable off.

SKU: The products SKU. In the "SKU" text box you can set a unique identification number for this item. SKU is global, meaning if you update the SKU for a product in one store, it will update in all other stores as well. If use product option with this setting, please do not set SKU on the main product or be aware of the conflict.

Misc Location: It's just a place to store some extra data. It's initial purpose was for warehouses as an internal note on where something is located.

SEO Keyword: The SEO Keyword is important for the proper indexing of your online store by the various search engines. SEO key that will show in URL. Default value will be set to product name on product creation.

Date Available:

Sort Order: Sort Order set's the order of which the product will be displayed amongst others.

Requires Shipping: This value means shipping rates apply for product when checkout.

Ship Product Individually: Product will be shipped in a separate package and additional shipping cost will be added to the order with multiple items.

Free Shipping: must be ON to enable free shipping for this product.

Fixed Shipping Price: this setting allows you to offer an exact shipping price for individual products.

Length: set to better specify your current product

Width: set to better specify your current product

Height: set to better specify your current product

Length Class: Units of measure to use in product options and shipping by product dimensions. Read more in this chapter

Weight: The products weight - usually used for shipping calculations. If use product option with this setting, please do not set on the main product or be aware of the conflict.

Weight Class: Weight classes are used to provide a structured way of handling products and shipping systems that use different units of weight. Read more in this chapter

After you have made your changes, select the SAVE

Images- *To add additional images and/or media like Audio, Video, Pdf, Archive files go to the 'Media' tab and click on "Plus" button. The "Resource library" popup window will appear.

Here You are able to:
1. upload new image in the "Add resource" Tab by clicking on "+Upload files" button or drag them here to start upload.
2. add media using "Add Resource Code" Tab. Just use html code. Useful for adding Embed code from Youtube.com for example. Added object will be available in Abantecart Resource Library.

Click on existing image to change it. In popup window You will be able to see any other products with this image is Mapped To and able to Edit Resource's name, title and description for all languages installed in the store.

If You want Map to the product already existent media just click on "Resource library" Tab in the appeared popup window. Here You can navigate or search for any already uploaded media objects.

In order to set an main image for your product simply click on the "Plus image" and a popup will appear, click on first Tab in the popup, images mapped to current product will appear, change sort order of image and click on Save Sort Order button.

this tab contains fields:

Categories: Category or categories where product will be displayed on storefront. Click on Add/Edit button, the popup will appear. Selecting a category will associate this product to that category, and you can select as few or as many associated categories. Click Apply Selection button to close popup and apply changes.

Related Products: offering to customers the products related to the current product when customers are viewing this product. Click on Add/Edit button, the popup will appear

and then select products in your store which you wish to be related of the product being edited. Shown on a product's page, Related Products are meant to be purchased in addition to the item the customer is viewing. They will appear in a Related Products tab on front-end.

Downloads: If you have uploaded a file for customers to download after purchase, such as an ebook or music file, select the file name from this box.

note: Download file can be added in the Catalog->Downloads section

Stores: select store where product will be displayed. If you're managing multiple Stores, you can select the stores to which this product is associated by checking the checkbox next to the Stores from which you want the product to be available.

You can select Global Attribute pattern from dropdown menu and click "Add Option" button.

Or add the 'New Option' If the 'option name' you want isn't already there. Enter the name of new Option, Element Type, Sort order and Required. Example Size. And select option's type from Element Type dropdown - for Example Selectbox.

After creating the new Option please select it's name in the Options list and insert new option 'values' by click on {+} button.

You can fill/edit the following fields:

Option value: Enter the name of option value. Example Small, Medium or Large.

Quantity: If you are tracking stock, how many of this option you have. Set quantaty for unique options value combination that represent one unique product variation.

Track Stock: Enabled option value for product to track stock and subtract the quantity after order is placed by customers. This is important setting read more about Stock processing configurations.

Price Modifier: If you wish to charge extra (or less) for this product, enter the amount here. EXAMPLE: Men's extra large t-shirts cost $2 more from the manufacturer. The "+$2.00" will appear in the option box of your storefront. If you wish to DISCOUNT this option, type "-2.00".

Modify Price By: select type of price calculation. If you select "$" the new price for this option will be 'manufacturer price' +/- 'option price value in your default currency'. If you select "%" the new price for this option will be 'manufacturer price' +/- 'option price value percents from manufacturer price'.

Sort Order: Sort Order set's the order of which the option value will be displayed amongst others.

By clicking on expand link, the menu will appear with additional fileds:

SKU: The products option value SKU. In the "SKU" text box you can set a unique identification number for this item.

Weight: Enter the weight amount.

Weight Type: Select the weight type for this item. % or default weight class are available

Add media: click to add media + button. Resource Library popup window will appear.

After you have made your changes, select the SAVE

To delete option value -click on {-} button.

To delete option - select it in the list and click REMOVE OPTION

In this section You can:

• Insert Quantity Discount for any Customer Group (you created in SALES -> Customer Groups) and/or or to customers who purchase at least a minimum quantity that you specify by clicking on

• add Special price for this product (click onbutton). You can enter a Special Price for this product. In the front-end, this will appear near the original price, which will be crossed out. You can enter a date range within which the Special price will be active. This price will apply automatically when the Date Start arrives and deactivate automatically when the Date End arrives. If you leave this range blank, the Special Price will apply until you remove it.

Discounts/Specials for a customer group will display the special price only if the customer is logged in as that group.

Some extensions might add additional settings that will be shown in this section. This will happen only if you have particulate extension installed and enabled.
